Because ‘the earth is the Lord’s and everything in it’ (Ps 24:1), part of our worship of God as members of the local church is giving money to the work of God.
One of the ways we display our obedience and dependence upon God is through financial stewardship and generosity. Giving strengthens our dependence upon God as it stretches us to look to Him as our provider. The heart of God is one of generosity.
