Children’s Ministry

Christ Community Church wants to help parents Shepherd the hearts of their children. Our desire is to be a generation which declares the mighty acts of God to the next (Psalm 145:4). As such we seek to enjoy and declare the Gospel in word and deed with our church children.

…we seek to enjoy and declare the Gospel in word and deed with our church children…

During our Sunday service, we have programs for children 9 months – 10 years (Grade 4).

Check out our Christ Community Children’s songs spotify playlist, and our memory verses we work through, during our time in Children’s Ministry.

Creche (9 months to 2.5 years old)

In Creche our desire is to show Christ’s love to some of the youngest members of our community while their parents listen to the sermon. Children aged 9 months to 2.5 years old are cared for in a supervised and nurturing environment. We sing songs, listen to Bible stories and play together with books, cars, play-dough, colouring in and blocks.

Seedlings ( 2.5 years old to 4 years old)

Seedlings aims to plant gospel seeds in young children’s hearts while their parents listen to the sermon. Children aged 2.5 to 4 years old are welcome to learn and play in a safe and nurturing environment. We sing songs, listen to Bible stories and play together with books, games and craft.

Saplings (4 years old to prep)

The Saplings class hopes to nourish gospel seeds in the hearts of children aged 4 to Prep, during the Sunday sermon. The children learn together about our Saviour Jesus through Bible stories, memory verses, songs and craft activities.

Sunday School (Grade 1 to Grade 4)

Sunday School is held during the sermon every Sunday and is for children from Grade 1 to Grade 4. Each week includes a Bible lesson, some singing and fun craft activities. The children enjoy learning more of God and the Bible together, as well as the opportunity to develop good relationships with other generations in our church family.

Volunteers

Our policy for all volunteers working with children at Christ Community Church is that they are followers of Jesus who have been attending the church for an appropriate length of time, who are known and approved by the church elders, and who hold Blue Cards issued by the Queensland Government.

It is important for all volunteers to be familiar with our working with children policies and requirements. You can read our Introduction to Children’s Ministry here, which outlines our perspective and guidelines.
