New Years Resolution

In a season where New Year’s Resolutions abound, Pete encouraged us last week to consider more than just our physical health, but also our spiritual health. What could it look like for 2018 to be a fresh start in spiritual disciplines such as Scripture reading, prayer, worship, and serving?

As a church we are encouraging everyone to read all four Gospels in January (Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John). What a great way to kick off the new year by reading one account of the life of Jesus each week. And more than that, would you join us in praying for God to open our hearts to hear His Word and apply it to our lives?

Gather with us each Sunday in January as we continue to dig into Jesus’ “Sermon on the Plain” from Luke 6. The challenge in this passage is for followers of Christ to lift their eyes from the immediate and consider the eternal Kingdom of God. And those that live for and in light of our spiritual security in Christ, Jesus calls us to be hearers and doers of God’s Word in this life too as we make His Gospel known in word and deed.
